How to Audition Intensive Program
Saturday September 27

Salem Town Hall Max: 12 for class
Ages: 14 to Adult
Fee per person: $45.00 Resident $50.00 Non-Resident Early Bird rate if you sign up before September 3rd.
Fee after September 3rd: $60.00 resident $65.00 non-resident
September 19th is the last day to register.

For those who have done a bit of acting, or a lot, this class reviews the following:
1. The difference between auditioning for film vs. theater.
2. Basic improvisation skills.
3. How to walk into an audition room.
4. How to deal with nerves.
5. How to prepare for an audition with a monologue or script.

Q&A: Please bring a notebook and pencil, handouts will also be provided for you to take home.

For anyone who has ever had any interest in pursuing the craft of Acting. For beginners and those who have never set a foot in the door of a theater, this class is for them! We comver basic body movement, creative visualization, sense membory, improv, basic terms for the stage. Also, the last class is opento parents and the public to see monologues performed.

Required equipment: tennis racquet, tennis shoes/sneakers, water bottle, towel, tennis clothing or other athletic clothing you can easily move in.

Wether you are new to tennis or have been away from the sport for a long time, come drill and play! Emphasis will be on balance and coordination, along with the fundamentals of the game. Each session includes a brief warm-up and cool-down. Min: 4 Max: 6

September 9, 16, 23, 30 October 7
For those with some tennis experience, this clinic will organize your improvement or your return to the game. We will review the basics of movement, stroke production and strategy necessary for the sport. All sessions include drills and play as well as warm-up and cool-down. Min: 4 Max: 6

High School Players: Wednesday 4:00 to 5:15pm
September 10, 17, 24, October 1, 8
Improve your outdoor tennis skills now and set a solid foundation for spring season. We will focus on playing smart, movement and fitness. Technique will be addressed as necessary. All sessions will include drills, play, as well as a warm-up and cool down. This clinic is coed and is open to high school players with some team experience, as well as players with approprate junior experience who plan to play high school tennis next spring. Min: 4 Max: 8

Power up your enginnering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGOS. Apply real world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as arch bridges, skyscrapers, motorized cars, and the Battletrack! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. An experienced instructor will challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level.
DANCE UNDER THE STARS!
Saturday September 27th
6:30 to 9:30pm
The Salem Recreation Commission will sponsor a dance featuring the band "The King Pins" at the Community Park, 89 Norwich Road. $10.00 per person; children under 12 free. The dance will be held rain or shine. Proceeds to benefit the Salem Needy Fund. Bring your chair or blaket starting at 5:00 and bring your picnic dinner. Reserve a picnic table under the pavilion for $50.00 to decorate. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place (must be reserved ahead of time).
