COVID-19 Update from the Town of Salem

Dear Fellow Townspeople,

We are in for another difficult week as we deal with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Connecticut. Please continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines at cdc.gov.

The Town of Salem will continue to provide the needed services to our residents.

The Town Hall continues to operate on a regular schedule. Access to Town Hall can be by e-mail at salemct.gov or phone at 860-859-3873. The Town Hall is closed to the public until further notice.

Public Works employees and paid Emergency Responders continue to report to duty and work their regular schedules.

The Transfer Station continues to be open on its regular scheduled days.

The Emergency Operation Center has been partially activated and is being monitored remotely.

Many residents have reached out to me willing to help their fellow townspeople. Please contact Town Hall if you or someone you know is in need of food or medicine or to pick up some needed items. We will help you get through this difficult time.

The Town of Salem is a very special place and we have the resources and many wonderful people willing to help.

Stay Healthy.

Respectfully,

Kevin Lyden
First Selectman
