Door to Door Solicitation

Recently the Salem Resident Troopers office has received an increase in complaints regarding door 
to door solicitation.

The Town of Salem discourages door to door solicitation.

If you choose to answer your door, which you do not have to  do, please remember to research the 
businesses that are selling goods or services to  validate that they are not scams.

Several complaints have been made of unprofessional solicitors that become offensive when told to 
leave.  If you experience this please call the State Police Troop K to  report the incidents. Troop 
K can be reached at 860-465-5400 for  non-emergency calls and as always dial 911 for emergencies.

Please do not supply personal information and be advised that the Town of Salem does not endorse 
any company's selling goods/services door to door.

We want to make sure that everyone is being safe especially during the holiday season.
