Unsung Hero Awards

The deadline of July 30th is fast approaching. If you or the group you belong to have not thought about nominating a Salem citizen for an Unsung Hero award, now is the time to get going. Like my late mother-in-law used to say, “If it weren’t for the last minute, a lot of things would not get done”. The last minutes are fast approaching.
The Salem Unsung Heroes Award Committee was incorporated in 1998, to encourage volunteerism, in general, and in particular, to acknowledge living, individual volunteers by giving non-monetary awards to volunteers who have served our community, its citizens and its institutions in various ways.
