Basic Dog Obedience Class
Wednesdays, February 5 – March 18, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
(no class on Wednesday, March 4)

Ages 12 & up, Class size: Min. 3 / Max. 10
$100 ($105 Non-Residents)
This six-week class designed to focus on building reliable basic obedience skills. Items covered will include leash manners, commands such as “Sit”, “Down”, “Stay”. No previous training required. After completing this class, your dog will have the skills necessary to participate in the Therapy Dog Training program. For dogs with people or dog aggression, please contact instructor for private lessons.
Proof of Rabies vaccination is required upon registration. First class includes the dog & handler. Only one dog per handler. Please bring water bowl and water, waste bags to clean up after your dog, and a non-slip mat. A 6-8 foot NON-RETRACTABLE leash is required.

Therapy Dog Class
Thursdays, February 13 – April 2, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

$120 ($125 Non-Residents)
(includes cost of Canine Good Citizenship test)
This eight-week class will teach you the foundation necessary to prepare you and your dog to become a therapy dog team and take the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test. Dogs must be reliable with basic obedience commands.
This class will reinforce your basic obedience skills and focus on exposure to experiences a team will encounter while visiting a facility. The exercises that will be covered include walking on a loose leash, reaction to distractions, leave it, and exposure to medical equipment.
