Salem Emergency Management will continue to monitor this event.

The CT State Emergency Operations Center has issued their final storm update.

I want to thank our; Emergency Management Team, Volunteer Fire Fighters, Full-time Fire Fighter-EMT’s, Public Works Crew members, Town Hall Staff and CT State Police Resident Troopers.

HIGH WIND WARNINGS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED…. FLOOD ADVISORIES AND A FEW FLOOD WARNINGS REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS……...

POWER OUTAGES WILL CONTINUE BUT ARE ON A STEADY DECLINE…

At 4:00 pm, radar showed the final area of showers moving out of the state and into MA and RI.  Eversource IS currently reporting 62,069 customers without power across the state.  Some low-lying roads will likely flood

Eversource crews are continuing their effort to restore power

Overnight: Temperatures are forecast to fall into the 30’s overnight with light southwest winds at less than 10 MPH after midnight.  There is a slight risk for patches of black ice to form in the northwest hills where lows will be near freezing.  The impact on the morning commute is expected to be very minor.  The weather looks quiet for power restoration activities for the next several days. River Flood Forecasts for the Next Few Days
