Probate Court

Probate Court has jurisdiction over the probate of wills and the administration of estates. In addition, the Court oversees trusts, determines title to real and personal property, appoints guardians for minors and people with special needs, appoints conservators of the estate and conservators of the person, commits a person suffering from severe mental illness to the appropriate hospital, removes guardians, terminates parental rights, permits adoptions, grants custody and grants name changes.
