CT DOT Replacement of Bridge Carrying Route 82 over Strongs Brook

Dear Fellow Townspeople,
I have advised the Department of Transportation they will not be allowed to use our Town Roads for
a detour route again next year.
The detour this past summer resulted in many complaints from residents of speeding vehicles as well
as deterioration of our local roads from the increased traffic.
Our Resident Troopers and Public Works spent much time handling these issues. I have asked the
Department of Transportation to compensate our Town and repair the detour route.
