Please welcome Pete Silva as the new Chief of GLVFD

Dear Fellow Townspeople:

Please be advised, Chief Pete Silva has been elected as Chief of the Gardner Lake Volunteer Fire Company. 

Chief Silva and Deputy Chief Danao will be working closely with Salem Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Gene Maiorano and Deputy Chief Weston as we align our emergency services for the needs of our Town over the next 5-10 years.

Selectman Chmielewski and Emergency Services Administrator, Mike Bednarz have been facilitating meetings and discussions in regards to emergency services for our Town.

They are tasked with eliminating unneeded duplication of equipment, encouraging efficiencies and joint trainings, as well as aligning and reviewing funding of our emergency services to best provide for our fellow Townspeople.
