Salem Green Cemetery Association is Looking for Volunteers

The Salem Green Cemetery Association, Inc. is looking for volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors.  This is a committee that was established by the Town of Salem to care for the daily operations of the cemetery.  This committee is charged with hiring a Sexton, who handles all interments.  We have a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  The committee makes the decisions regarding maintenance of the grounds and handling of miscellaneous duties, correspondence, etc.  The Town of Salem mows the lawn in the summer, and plows the driveways in the winter.  Meetings are held every other month on the second Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the Town Hall.  SGCA By-Laws call for a nine (9) person committee.
